NCUA issued a letter to credit unions, 13-FCU-02, to explain the agency’s emphasis in examinations on fair lending. This session covers the regulations that deal with fair lending – Regulation B, Regulation C, and the Fair Housing Act – as well as “best practices” highlighted in the Fair Lending Guide that accompanied the letter. We also discuss what a credit union can expect if faced with a Fair Lending examination and how credit unions can prepare.
