Changes made to Regulation C and the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) will affect data collection and reporting for 2017 and 2018. However, what’s applicable in 2017 won’t always be applicable in 2018.

The majority of the HMDA reporting changes take effect for applications where final action is taken in 2018. Loans coverage shifts from purpose-based to collateral-based.
